🥰 OPENING RECEPTION for the new WEEKEND TRAMPOLINE HOUSE 🥰

Warm welcome to a festive opening reception for the new" Weekend Trampoline House" in the Apostle Church in Copenhagen on Friday, January 28, from 5–9 pm. There will be live music, light food and beverages, and you can learn more about the new house and how to become a part of it.

On January 28, 2022, the refugee justice community center Trampoline House re-opens in a smaller version under the name "Weekend Trampoline House". The new house will be located in the Apostle Church's parish house in Vesterbro in Copenhagen.

Weekend Trampoline House will be open Fridays from 2–8 pm and Sundays from 2–8 pm and offer a selection of the old Trampoline House's most popular activities: legal counseling, language classes, workshops, women's and children's club, house meetings, café, and community dinners.

Weekend Trampoline House is a gathering place for asylum seekers, rejected asylum seekers, refugees with residence permits as well as Danish citizens and international residents, who work for a more humane refugee policy together.

📍 BACKGROUND

It is a group of former users, volunteers, and employees of the old Trampoline House, who in collaboration with the Apostle Church is behind the new initiative, which will run for a 12-month trial period.

Weekend Trampoline House has been realized with support from Carl og Ellen Hertz’ Familielegat, documenta fifteen, Fonden af 20. december, Gothe-Insitut, Hotelejer Andreas Harboes Fond, Østifterne, VMOK Fonden, and private donors.

📍 RECEPTION PROGRAM

5:00–5:15: The reception begins, beverages and snacks

5:15–5:30: Welcome by Niels Nymann Eriksen (Pastor for immigrants in the Apostle Church) and Morten Goll (general manager, Weekend Trampoline House)

5:30–5:45: Introduction to Weekend Trampoline House's activities by Nabila Saidi (social coordinator, Apostle Church and Weekend Trampoline House), Shakira Kasigwa Mukamusoni (volunteer), and Tone Olaf Nielsen (program and communication coordinator, Weekend Trampoline House)

6:00–7:00: Community dinner with delicious food provided by Sisters Cuisine

7:30–8:30: Concert with musicians from Weekend Trampoline House

9:00: The event ends

There will be free bus transport to the opening reception for residents from asylum and deportation centers Avnstrup, Sandholm, and Sjælsmark 🚌

📍 REGISTRATION

Infection rates are rising, and of course we follow the authorities' corona guidelines.

To participate in the event, you must therefore register by sending an email to tone@trampolinhuset.dk no later than January 24 (there is room for a maximum of 80 guests, first come, first served). You must also show a coronapassport or a negative quick/PCR test, and wear a face mask when standing up 😷
