On Friday, March 11, Michala Clante Bendixen from Refugees Welcome Denmark will pass by Weekend Trampoline House's house meeting to tell us more about the special law for Ukrainian refugees, which has just been passed in the Danish Folketing.
The special law means that Ukrainians will not have to go through the Danish asylum system, but are able to get a temporary residence permit from day 1 and access to welfare services, the labor market, and education.
The special law has been criticized by many NGOs for positively discriminating white refugees, and they call for a relaxation of the strict Danish asylum rules for all refugees.
After the house meeting, you are welcome to join our popular community dinner from 6–7 pm, and we will be happy if you will donate DKK 25 for the meal.
Time & Place:
The house meeting will be held in English with simultaneous translation to Arabic and Farsi. It takes place from 5–6 pm in Weekend Trampoline House, c/o Apostle Church, Saxogade 13, 1662 Copenhagen V.
