The Danish Folketing has given us a new date. On Thursday, November 14 from 11:30 am–1 pm, the ‘borgerforslag’ (citizen's law proposal) on rejected asylum-seeking children in the Danish departure and deportation centers – posed by Folkebevægelsen for asylbørns fremtid (People's Movement for Asylum-seeking Children's Future) – will be debated in the Danish Parliament.

25 audience seats have been reserved for rejected children and their parents, who have helped the people's movement collect the required 50,000 signatures.

You can follow the debate on www.ft.dk/en/aktuelt/tv-fra-folketinget.

Afterwards, approx. 15 children from the deportation center Sjælsmark will perform the activist performance "The Invisible Wall". T.he performance uses miming to go beyond the word and set a different agenda in the political debate.

After the first debate, the proposal is referred to the Immigration and Integration Committee for a second debate.
